Étival-Clairefontaine
Vosges (88)
Located at the crossroads between France, Germany, Switzerland, and the Benelux, the Etival production site spans a 30-hectare area, 15 of which are built on. Proximity to neighbouring countries promotes transport cost savings and allows for record delivery times: 80% of orders are delivered within one day (J+1) in France, Germany, Switzerland, and the Benelux, and on average within two days (J+2) in Europe.
The plant is equipped with two paper machines, each 3.40 meters wide. One of these machines has a production speed of 1,000 meters per minute, which amounts to 60 kilometres and 15 tons of paper per hour. Thanks to these constantly modernised machines, Clairefontaine delivers 170,000 tons of uncoated printing and writing paper to its customers annually. The paper is exclusively top-of-the-range, for office automation, graphic printing, and the manufacture of stationery items.
Logistics is undeniably one of the strengths of Papeteries de Clairefontaine. Because the value of a paper manufacturer is not solely measured by its technical expertise, the Etival plant has benefited from significant logistical investments over many years. These investments enable it to offer customers an ever-wider range of products coupled with increasingly efficient service. From the implementation of automated systems for handling the entry and exit of finished products to the construction of fully automated warehouses for storing reams, formats, and reels, the entire flow has been redesigned to meet the growing customer demands for quality, reliability, and delivery speed.

Everbal
Aisne (02)
The Everbal factory, located 30 km from Reims and a subsidiary of Clairefontaine since 1994, is exclusively dedicated to the production of 100% recycled paper. Thanks to a rigorous selection of recovered paper, Everbal produces 50,000 tons per year with a record yield: only 6% of the material is eliminated during the recycling process.
This site, whose productions are dedicated to various applications such as office use, publishing, filing, creative papers, and packaging, is equipped with a 2.15-metre-wide machine. The steam required to power the paper machine is generated by two biomass boilers. These investments have allowed Everbal to transition from fossil fuel resources to this new energy source.
The industrial site is certified ISO 9001, 14001, and 50001, and offers products certified with Blue Angel, Ecolabel, PEFC, or FSC®. Everbal produces the Evercopy range of white recycled papers and Evercolor colored paper for office use. These papers comply with the DIN 6738 standard, which qualifies them for permanent archiving.
